The World Bank is pleased to welcome you to the 18th Annual World Bank Conference on Land and Poverty held from March 20 to 24, 2017 at World Bank Headquarters in Washington D.C.

The 2017 conference theme is Responsible Land Governance: Towards an Evidence-based Approach, focusing on the role of data and evidence for realizing land policy reform, identifying strategies for working at scale and monitoring performance and progress. Over 150 sessions present and discuss latest research, innovations, policy developments, implementation practice and impact. The innovation shows new technologies and 40 MasterClasses will be offered during the learning day.

The conference has become one of the largest international events on land governance; the 18th edition has over 1600 registered participants from governments, academics, civil society, and the private sector.
